The senninbari or one thousand-stitch belt is a magical kind of sash worn my soldiers in World War II to ward off enemies bullets and impart super human strength.

  1. Thanks for that great explaination of senninbaris. I recently found a few in the US and looked them up on the internet. You’re podcast was more informative and entertaining than anything else I’ve read. You’re a great storyteller.

    1. Thank you so much for the comment, Rusty. I would love to see those senninbaris you found. I remember hearing about WW2 items you could find in pawn shops: katana, letters, tanto knives. I never considered someone bringing a senninbari back. That’s intense.
